Madonna, who has long been a fervent follower of Cabala, which is a mystical offshoot of Judaism will be among 2,000 people taking part in a ten day Rosh Hashanah travel and study program that will celebrate the Jewish New Year.

 

She is expected to arrive in the country by private jet with her husband Guy Ritchie, their seven-year-old son Rocco and 23 month old adopted son David, plus the singer's 10 year old daughter Lourdes before the start of the celebrations which are set to begin on Wednesday evening.

 

Other celebrities that will be joining Madonna on her spiritual journey include Demi Moore and her husband Ashton Kutcher and fashion designer Donna Karan.

 

'The Cabala Center' has planned a special celebration in Jaffa on September16 for invited guests and students of the sect between the ages of 21 and 35.

 

A spokesperson for the center refused to say whether Madonna and her celebrity friends would be attending the 'Idrahjaffa Moon Party', saying only, "It's impossible to know".

 

It appears that over 2,000 Israeli police officers will be deployed during Madonna's visit because of rumors that Jewish extremists that believe that non-Jews and all women should be banned from studying Cabala hope to cause problems.
